Walter H. Singer, Founder and President of ACT Environmental Services, could not agree more with the USC Viterbi School of Engineering’s focus on growing the ranks of women in the field of engineering and applauds the school’s exemplary female enrollment and graduation rates. ACT was, itself, recently named the 19th Best Workplace For Women in the entire United States by FORTUNE and Great Place To Work®. “At ACT, we understand how important it is to create a work environment that supports and recognizes the unique life circumstances of each of our employees. We look forward to continuing this mission in the years to come,” said Singer. A USC Engineering alum, Singer knows that the only way to grow the field of engineering – and thereby increase the pace of critical innovations and discoveries – is to make engineering-related jobs more inclusive. ACT is headquartered in Sunnyvale, in the heart of Silicon Valley, with offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and across the Western U.S. All of us at ACT welcome forward-thinking efforts like those of the Viterbi School and the #ILookLikeAnEngineer movement!
