Russ CowperthwaiteRuss started with ACT in January 2015. Russ’ career in the transportation industry began over 30 years ago as a heavy duty diesel truck technician and he developed into a top notch ASE Certified Master Heavy Duty Technician who specialized in multiple lines including being an Isuzu Commercial Truck Master Technician. As his career in the transportation industry progressed, Russ moved ahead by starting and operating his own diesel repair company. Through various professional industry contacts Russ was recruited to be the Fleet Manager of a small fleet that went on to become one of the largest vending companies on the West Coast with over 180 vehicles. Russ’ most recent position came in 2006 when he became the Fleet Manager of a large construction / transportation company in Central California with over 500 vehicles.

Throughout his time in the industry Russ has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of transportation including, but not limited to: vehicle maintenance & repairs, fleet management, contract negotiations, fleet procurement, transportation personnel management, F.M.C.S.A, D.O.T, & A.R.B. regulations and compliance, just to name a few, all of which will help ACT continue to follow its vision of growth and efficiency for superior customer relations and the highest level of compliance.

On a personal note, Russ has been happily married to his wife, Stephanie, for over twenty years. They have a son, Cameron, who recently received his AS degree in Criminal Justice and history with honors and is currently working towards his Master degree. Both Russ and his son are certified N.R.A. instructors and enjoy training at their favorite ranges. Russ is also a certified Red Cross First Aid and CPR instructor. To top it all of Russ is also a licensed private airplane pilot and enjoys flying in his spare time.
