National Safety Month Winners

This past June, ACTenviro proudly celebrated National Safety Month with the theme “I Stand Up for Safety.” By sharing our employees’ stories and providing staff with resources, we worked together to keep each other Safe for Life! We started this campaign by asking our employees “What Do You Do To Stand Up for Safety?” Participants sent in short videos on what they do to stand up for safety so that they and their fellow employees can stay Safe for Life. The prize for the person/group chosen to be represented in our campaign was a pair of Wiley X glasses! One of our on-site service teams sent in a video that truly encompassed what we were trying to accomplish:
  • Be willing to approach and address fellow workers when you see something that causes you concern
  • Be willing to receive help when fellow workers approach and address you
Responsibility for encouraging the safety culture may start with management, but it trickles down to each individual in the company. Everyone has a part in keeping him- or herself and others safe, and this is what the winning group has modeled. Having an enhanced safety culture is the end result of both individual and group efforts toward values, attitudes, goals and proficiency in ACTenviro’s health and safety program. This is ACT’s commitment to Safety, because our employees matter to us. ACT is now almost 300 employees strong! Congratulations to the victorious crew! We thank you for your dedication to safety and being able to effect powerful change! – Krista Wood Harsono, Director of Compliance National-Safety-Month-Winners-Picture Left to right: David Martinez, Anthony Lozano, Lionel Mata and Sergio Anaya.
