Glossary

Stormwater

Stormwater refers to water that originates from rain, snow and melting ice. Stormwater soaks into soil or can be stored on land surface in ponds or puddles. When it evaporates, it contributes to surface runoff that is conveyed directly to streams, water bodies or nearby streams without the need for treatment.
