Aeration refers to the process where air is mixed or dissolved in liquid or circulated through liquid. Liquid aeration is done by means of a the Venturi tube, aeration turbines or compressed air which can be combined with diffusers air stones, including fine bubble diffusers, coarse bubble diffusers or linear aeration tubing. Its purposes include laminating tap water flow at the faucet or increasing the oxygen content of water used to house animals, such as aquarium fish or fish farm, among other things. Soil aeration, on the other hand, refers to puncturing the soil with spikes. This is done to restore a dried, dead lawn back to health.
