Advisory level

Generally speaking, advisory levels are tiered warnings provided by government or state agencies dependent on the incident or situation. For example, in the case of travel advisories, the US government determines the safety of travel to a certain destination ranging from Level 1 (safe) to Level 4 (do not travel). In waste management, the Environmental Protection Agency refer to levels that are above EPA guidelines. These are situations where there is risk for exposure to harmful contaminants.
