Action level

An action level refers to guidelines that are established by environmental protection agencies that help identify the amount of concentration levels in a substance may it be water, soil, etc. that could potentially present a health risk should these levels be exceeded. Should any contaminants be found in concentrations that are beyond action levels then certain measures must be taken to decrease the risk of contamination.
