With the acquisition of Rinchem’s environmental business unit ACT will continue to provide management and operational support to a national laboratory in New Mexico. The onsite staff will manage one treatment, storage and disposal facility, one on-site 90-day accumulation area, one solid waste transfer facility and oversee the safe and efficient handling and disposal of most regulated and non-regulated chemicals, other wastes and recyclable materials. ACT will also play a role in the support of other programs at the laboratory such as the Pollution Prevention Program, the Lead Management Program, Hazardous Materials Inspections and the Emergency Response Team. Ken Tetreault, the Branch Manager for ACT’s HWMF/SWCRC facilities, said, “ACT has done similar work before and this is going to be a seamless transition for us and the laboratory.” Founder & President Walter H. Singer said that he looks forward to having such a talented staff join our ACT operations. ACT would like to welcome the former Rinchem employees to their expanding ACT family and look forward to a great relationship.
