Since March 2008, our ACT Sunnyvale location has undergone five inspections by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) without receiving a single violation. This inspection is conducted by the state in order to ensure the facility is in compliance with the requirements of the California Medical Waste Management Act (MWMA) and our medical waste transfer station permit. Krista Harsono, ACT's Compliance Director said, "These inspections cover everything from paperwork preparation, pick-up and disposal to truck inspections and spill investigations". Krista went on to say that if it wasn't for staff like Jamie Shartzer (Operations Manager) and his crew of CSRs, these inspections would be a much more rigorous task tracking down and verifying paperwork.
